Headquartered in Stockholm, Sagentia Catella is one of the world’s leading independent consultancies and testing laboratories for batteries, supercapacitors and fuel cell technologies. The company, established in the 1950s, was originally part of the Swedish Defence Research Agency and became a commercial company in the 1990s.

We provide impartial and professional assessments of battery safety and reliability and formally accredit battery performance. With over 15,000 square feet of office and laboratory space, we assess more than 15,000 batteries each year covering all chemistries and sizes. Our extensive experience of power source technology is used to provide consultancy to clients in a wide variety of market sectors. In addition, we help clients to select best fit solutions for OEM devices. We also investigate and evaluate the cause of accidents related to battery technology, as well as identify measures that can prevent failures in the future.

The Sagentia Catella team brings together experience of industrial and OEM manufacturing, battery development and pure research. Our team has over 200 years of collective experience in the field of battery technology and applied electrochemistry.
